I know someone very close to me who just bought a 2014 ford focus hatchback with like 5000 miles..... for 9 grand, no joke.

granted, it had been in a minor fender bender (it was a rental car) and so then was a salvage title.

yes I know its not a fiesta ST, but still thats really cheap, i optioned it out, and brand new, it would have been 23 grand.

I feel like we're cheating the system or something here in America. In Europe, the STs are revered hot hatches, right? It would make sense if they are pricey. But here, I think their value comes down due to the American perception of Ford, especially with depreciation.

Wouldn't worry. I have a feeling it's been in a bad crash and somehow kept clean.

Front strut was making a terrible noise, not sure if bad strut mount bushings/struts are common on 4000 mile STs.

They're down in price because it's a sub-compact and that's what the American public expects sub-compacts to cost.
